PHARMACOGENETICS TEST TO BETTER TREAT PATIENTS

PGx by Stone Labs is a pharmacogenetics test that can help predict how a patient will respond to drug therapy based on individual genetic makeup.

  • Recent research has linked a number of genes, including CYP2C19, CYP2C9, CYP2D6, and VKORC1, with an individual’s drug response. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) and copy number variations (CNVs) in these genes have been shown to influence the rate of drug metabolism. An extended panel of genes may help to guide clinical research for therapeutic treatment and response.
  • Obtain relevant data for 69 SNPs/INDELs in 20 genes, plus 5 CNVs in CYP2D6.
  • Use flexible throughput formats to accommodate varying sample throughput.
  • Get robust data reporting with interactive visualization for results management.

Pharmacogenetics
is the study of the role of the genome in drug response. Its name (pharmaco- + genomics) reflects its combining of pharmacology and genomics. Pharmacogenomics analyzes how the genetic makeup of an individual affects his/her response to drugs.
